Be the Change you need

I recently signed up for The Answer program currently being held at Revive Fitness in Bolton, Ontario.   I made this decision, after long reflection, because I am also one of the co-authors of The Answer with Lee Anne Simpson.  It was a hard decision to make, because here I am at age 44, not following my own advice.  I fell off the proverbial wagon for my fitness and health routine.  I am no longer working out consistently, and not following my own advice about nutrition.

A few years ago, I was in the best health I have ever been in.  I was fit and lean, running 4 days a week, and working out 4 days a week, off wheat and refined sugar. I took on some challenging responsibilities, in my volunteer work, and found that over time, I was working out less, running less, and compromising what I was eating.  From there my health took a turn, as my Iron dropped dramatically, causing weekly iron shots, and my thyroid going out of whack … again.

Attention and focus suffered, sleep, and general health.  Of course I also began to gain weight… which is really just a side effect of not being healthy and fit.  I am at the largest I have even been in my life, and feeling probably the worst that I ever have.

So, I decided to join the program.  I didn’t want to know my measurements at all, and still don’t, because I was too chicken to truly look in the mirror. In essence, by not knowing, I was undermining myself again… by not being honest.  SO I have decided to create a blog that will follow my progress.

Anyone who is reading this, can discover that they can do this as well… in truth, the real challenge is MAKING UP YOUR MIND to CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
